Alas Pilipinas Clinches Historic Bronze in AVC Challenge Cup.                    The Philippines made history at the 2024 AVC Challenge Cup, not only securing its best finish in the tournament's history, but also climbing onto the podium for the first time ever.                            

  d dd dd                                 This incredible feat came after Alas Pilipinas, the Philippine representative team, defeated Australia in the battle for third place. The Filipinos dominated the match, winning in straight sets (25-23, 25-15, 25-7) at the Rizal Memorial Coliseum in Manila.           

   dd ddd                                This bronze medal marks a significant milestone for Philippine volleyball. The Philippines has been a member of the Asian Volleyball Confederation (AVC) since 1961, but had never achieved a podium finish in any AVC tournament until this year.
The victory wasn't just a one-time win. Alas Pilipinas had earlier shown their strength against Australia during the pool play, foreshadowing their success in the bronze medal match.

The 3-time Grand Slam champion was defeated in the first round by his longtime rival, Stan Wawrinka. This loss makes it highly likely that this was Murray's last appearance at Roland Garros
